You can’t deny the allure of a boutique barbershop experience — Comparable to a woman’s spa day, a fancy barbershop experience does an astounding job of making one feel polished and ready to impress. From the pre-shave hot towels to the boozy drinks in between, it leaves a man feeling at ease, clean, and extra fresh before hitting the city streets.
While this experience normally tends to be on the pricier side, Union Station offers an inexpensive, modernized and altruistic barbershop pop-up for ONE DAY ONLY, an ode to the golden age of barbershops. The games are going down in the Waiting Room, a historic gem inside the beloved train station that actually used to have a barbershop back in the day too.
Barbershop naturalists Svelte Barbershop + Essentials will lend a hand to provide the sharpest cut for patrons coming through the station, offering classic cuts and hot towel shaves for just $25. To elevate the experience, guests can indulge in a drink from the pop-up bar on the indoor patio from Traxx, the true way to cap this event.
The best part? The proceeds will go towards a good cause — Heifer International is an organization working with communities around the world to end world hunger and poverty. For every haircut, Heifer gets that much closer to helping families achieve self-reliance by providing them the tools they need to sustain themselves.
The nostalgic pop-up begins at 11:30am THIS THURSDAY MARCH 16 and ends at 7:30pm, so you’ll have plenty of time to get yourself a spot in line. No reservations are required.
