About The Mayfair Hotel
In July 2018, The Mayfair Hotel — an historic 1926 hotel located in the emerging Westlake neighborhood of Downtown Los Angeles — unveiled a top-to-bottom renovation led by Los Angeles-based, Icelandic architect and interior designer Gulla Jónsdóttir and Artist-in-Residence Kelly “RISK” Graval. With deep admiration of the landmark building’s heritage, developer ICO Group of Companies repositioned the 15-story, 294-room hotel property to spotlight the structure’s glamorous architecture while incorporating modern enhancements, including a multi-million-dollar collection of art and photography curated by RISK. Managed by nationally recognized operator of major hotels, resorts and conference centers throughout the United States and Canada, Crescent Hotels & Resorts, the reenergized Mayfair Hotel is one of the city’s newest social hubs, offering a dynamic art and music programming with a distinct Los Angeles touch. Along with RISK, Los Angeles-based talent management group Regime 72 curates and manages the hotel’s immersive entertainment experience.
