About the Organizer

Diana Barillas is an event producer and community organizer whose work celebrates culture, art, and connection in Downtown Los Angeles. She created DTLA Día de los Muertos out of love for her city, her heritage, and in memory of her mama y papa. For Diana, the event transforms loss into celebration and honor — a reflection of what makes both Día de los Muertos and DTLA so special: finding beauty, resilience, and unity in community.
