The Philadelphia based custom clothier, Commonwealth Proper (CMMP), is thrilled to announce the opening of their new Los Angeles showroom. Commonwealth Proper Downtown LA
The brand’s first West Coast location – and fourth showroom to date – CMMP DTLA is located in the heart of Los Angeles’ revitalized Arts District, near the Rogue Collective space in Downtown LA.
Explains CMMP Founder, Craig Arthur von Schroeder, “as far as we’re concerned, LA is the new style and fashion production capital of the world, and we’re thrilled to become a part of the scene here. We also couldn’t ask for a more fitting space for our showroom. Formerly the legendary punk club, Al’s Bar -– essentially the CBGBs of the West Coast – the venue still pulses with the same raw, renegade energy.” Commonwealth Proper Downtown LA
The appointment-only, 750 square foot showroom will offer CMMP’s full range of custom services, including suiting, shirting, and outerwear, as well as carry the brand’s recently launched ready-to-wear collection, “much of which,” adds Schroeder, “is made just a short walk from the new shop. Gotta love that.”
CMMP will be celebrating the opening of their DTLA location with a party on Saturday, January 26th from 4:00-8:00 PM.
