Topping off Celebration
The celebration for the completion of vertical construction took place yesterday at the Grammy Museum’s Target Terrace in LA Live. The location was perfectly situated for viewing of the complex’s final beam being raised.
Oceanwide is a DTLA residential and retail complex under construction in South Park on the former site of vacant parking lots. It lies across the street from the Staples Center and LA Convention Center.
It includes three towers of aiming for the sophisticated and cosmopolitan lifestyle. Tower one will be a 675-ft, 49-floor five-star Park Hyatt Hotel with 184 rooms and 164 “Residences”. Towers II and III will have 504 residential condominiums.
Final Beam Raised
The topping off ceremony signals the end of vertical construction with the final beam being raised into place.
Final Beam Memorialized
Prior to being raised into place, the last beam was signed by guest attendees and will now always be a part of the building.
