Once a Luxurious Hotel and preferred venue for early Hollywood stars and starlets, this week it will be LAFW's designers and models shaking through this historic DTLA venue.

The Alexandria

Hotel Alexandria is a beautiful historic building which opened on 5th and Spring as a hotel in 1906. In the early 1910’s and early 20’s, It was the most luxurious hotel in Los Angeles and a major playground for LA’s elite. Hotel Alexandria

Known for it’s “million-dollar” rug, marble columns, chandeliers, and gold leaf covering of the mezzanine lobby, hardly ever did a day pass without the presence of a nationally-known actor or actress.

Originally a hotel, it now consists of  three iconic event venues: The Mezz, Palm Court Ballroom, and King Edward Ballroom.

Great for weddings, events, private parties, photo/music productions, and much more!!!

And of course this week it will play host to L.A. Fashion Week SS 2018.

The Mezz

The Mezz is located on the second level and surrounded by windows and skylights. It offers offers charming views of the city, historical buildings and is the perfect location for a large mixer!!

It is the largest venue at the Alexandria measuring over 14,000 sqft. The industrial-style setting features exposed brick walls, candle-light iron beams, and a luxurious marble staircase upon entrance.

It can accommodates up to 500 for reception and 800 cocktail style events.

It will be the site of the LAFW Opening Media Reception this Wednesday.

Ballrooms

Alexandria Ballrooms

The ballrooms have been restored and have officially opened their doors once more. They include the King Edward and Palm Court. 

 

King Edward

The King Edward ballroom features stretched ceilings with crystal chandeliers, tall windows that flood the room with natural light, and a romantic gold leaf fireplace.

Perched above the ballroom is an elegant balcony terrace, with endless skylights creating a magical setting for your events or photo shoots.

The King Edward ballroom will also be the setting where LAFW Fashion shows do DTLA this Thursday  the 4th through Sunday the 8th.

Featured in numerous Hollywood films, music video’s and famous photo shoots including Vogue with Natalie Portman!

 

Palm Court Ballroom

Added later to the Hotel in 1911, The Palm Court was built to be luxurious, designed with arched high ceilings, crystal chandeliers and gorgeous Tiffany Skylights you can still see today.

Declared a cultural landmark on March 3, 1971, it was the location for Hollywood’s most significant balls during early Hollywood and even Charlie Chaplain’s wedding.
