Recently, I was able to visit another great museum located in the greater Los Angeles area – The Natural History Museum. Since opening way back in 1913, the museum has made it a priority to continue to transform its exhibitions and visitors experience by offering amazing displays like the new “Age of Mammals” exhibition (opened in 2010) and the latest “Becoming Los Angeles” (opened in 2013). What sets this place apart from the rest and truly makes it a magical experience is, in this angelinos opinion, “Dino Hall”. There will never be a time in a persons life where dinosaurs will not be fascinating to learn about or even look at.
For tourists and locals alike, museums are one of the greatest ways to truly get to know the city you are in. Whether visiting for the weekend, or if you’ve lived there a life time, museums are a way for different generations to experience anything from modern artwork by local artists, to creatures that dominated the world millions and millions of years ago.
Los Angeles is filled with great museums that feature a wide variety of interesting exhibitions. Establishments like the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (aka LACMA), and DTLA’s recently opened Broad museum are great examples of tourist trendy museums around LA.
Los Angeles is a beautiful city with things constantly going on, get out there and see them for yourself!
